Graduate Management Admission Test popularly known as GMAT is a yearly exam being conducted by the Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC) for admission to MBA programs in India and abroad.

Some prominent programs that require a GMAT score for admission to prestigious universities include Master of Business Administration, Master in Management, Master of Finance, M.Sc. Marketing, etc.

The GMAT Exam Is Reliable and Available Around the World.

The GMAT exam is used by more than 7,700 programs offered by more than 2,400 universities and institutions in 114 countries with testing in over 600 test centers around the world.

The total duration given to complete the test is 3 hours 7 minutes. During this time, test takers are also entitled to have two optional 8-minute breaks. So, the total time limit is almost about 3 and ½ hours inclusive of the breaks.

  • Centre-based GMAT
  • Online exam

Total Exam Time - The total exam time is 3 hours 7 minutes, not including two optional 8-minute breaks.

It is Computer- based online test.

Total Test Score - 800

Score Validity- 5 years

Exam Fee- $275 USD

Attempts - Maximum of five attempts in a year and eight attempts in a lifetime.

Retest - Applicants can sit for the GMAT exam once every 16 days.

Candidates have the option to validate their identity via their Aadhaar Card or passport while registering for the GMAT exam as long as the card is valid and current.

GMAT can be applied online or postmail.

Age Limit-

There is no specified maximum upper age limit to be eligible for the GMAT exam. candidates need to be at least 18 years of age to register for the exam on the official website. but, applicants between the age of 13 to 17 will need their parents’ consent to be eligible for the exam.

Rescheduling Exam Fee -

$50: If the change of GMAT schedule is done 60 days before the booked date.

$100: If the change of GMAT schedule is done 15 to 60 days before the booked date

$150: If the change of GMAT schedule is done 1 to 14 days prior to the booked date

Exam Cancellation Fee –

$150 ($100 refund) – More than 60 days before the appointment

175 ($75 refund) – 15 to 60 days before the appointment

200 ($50 refund) – 1 to 14 days before the appointment

Result -

In online GMAT, you will receive an unofficial score preview immediately after you complete the exam.

However, the official score report of GMAT is generally available within 7-20working days after your exam date.
